Catnip Tincture

Catnip (Nepeta cataria) is a gentle calming herb that eases stress, supports sleep, relieves digestive upset, and can help soothe colds and fevers. Though famous for its euphoric effect on cats, in humans catnip is a soothing, calming herb with a long tradition in folk medicine. We use the flowering aerial parts from the Catnip we have organically grown in our mountain garden.

Ingredients: Organic fresh Catnip, organic cane alcohol, distilled water. 

Herbal Actions:

• Mild sedative & nervine (calming without heavy sedation)

• Antispasmodic (relaxes smooth muscle, especially in the gut)

• Carminative (eases gas, colic, indigestion)

• Diaphoretic (encourages gentle sweating, supports fever resolution)

• Mild analgesic

• Emmenagogue (stimulates menstrual flow—traditional use)

Suggested Use:
Take 30–60 drops (1–2 dropper squeezes) in water or tea, up to 3 times daily. 

Shake well before use. Best taken between meals.
